LEAD COMPOSITOR

The main focus of the position is to determine VFX solutions to integrate live-action, 3D and digital matte painting elements to create final shots. The lead compositor must have experience leading a team and enough good judgement to partake in creating a new production pipeline and work out solutions with other team leaders.

• 3-5 years industry experience in visual effects compositing required.
• A good understanding of photographic principles and CG Compositing techniques is essential.
• Required to possess strong background in animation, visual effects and compositing, and detailed working knowledge of Adobe After Effects as well matchmoving tools such as Boujou and Syntheyes.
• Demonstrated experience of working on high end projects within a film post-production environment.
• Possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a team and have a sound knowledge of post-production for films.
• Must have strong leadership skills and ability to develop visual effects solutions to shots, and disseminate instructions to compositors.

COMPOSITOR

The main focus of the position is to integrate live-action, 3D and digital matte painting elements to create the final shots.
• Industry experience in visual effects compositing necessary
• Perform tasks such as assembly of 3D layers, color correction, footage problems fixes, relighting, color grading with creativity and efficiency.
• Required to have strong background in animation, visual effects and compositing, and a detailed working knowledge of Adobe After Effects as well matchmoving tools such as Boujou and Syntheyes.
• Need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a team.

DIGITAL MATTE PAINTER

The main focus of the position is to create photo-realistic paint renderings of backdrops in Adobe Photoshop. Other 2D paint tasks will be expected.
• Film industry experience in matte painting
• Skilled in painting photo-real images using photo reference
• Familiar with compositing packages e.g. Shake, Nuke, After Effects
• Advanced 2D skills in Photoshop with 3D experience preferably in Blender
• 2.5D / 3D experience projecting in After Effects is a plus
• Demonstrable skills in Concept design for characters, vehicles, environments etc. desirable but not
essential

CONCEPT & STORYBOARD ARTIST

Ability to draw and conceptualise ideas on paper. Good understanding of anatomy of the human form and animals in general. Versatile and skilled in different styles and mediums such as drawing and painting with traditional mediums such as pencil, pen, water colour or acrylics and drawing with Photoshop. Ability to sketch for early concepts to extensive full scale conceptual art is expected.

- Skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator essential.
- Skills in cartooning are advantageous.
- To be able to draw sequentially for storyboarding.

LEAD 3D MODELER

The ideal candidate to possess extensive experience modelling and texturing a diverse visual range of character and creatures at a senior or lead level. A solid grasp of form, structure, color, and light for both 2D and 3D art assets is essential. The lead 3D character artist must have experience leading a team, have skill in another art task as well (illustration, modelling, texturing, animation, or concept drawing), and be well-versed in related tools — Maya, Photoshop, etc. The candidate must have the willingness to train in Blender if he/she does not have prior experience.

• 3-5 years industry experience in 3D modelling required.
• Must posses experience and skills in character and environmental modelling.
• Understanding of advanced 3D modelling – especially with regards to topology for animation
• Well versed with lighting, texturing and rendering.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of self-direction.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be receptive to 3D direction and perform well within a collaborative team environment.
• Willingness to learn, create and adapt a new system and eventually a new production pipeline.
• Ability and resourcefulness to research solutions to problems
• Prior familiarity to Blender 3D software is a plus.

LEAD 3D ANIMATOR/RIGGER

The Lead Animator must possess skills for the creation of 3D character animation. Ideal candidate able to lead a team. To work independently and creatively and be prepared to work out solutions with other team leaders. Please present a reel demonstrating outstanding character animation/acting abilities.
• 3-5 years industry experience in 3D animation required.
• Good appreciation and distinction of different styles and medium and basic understanding of directorial concepts and shot definitions.
• Knowledge and a deep understanding of the Principles of Animation, acting skills & concepts. Animation
• A deep understanding of character rigging. This includes a fundamental understanding of the technical processes involved, functionality and requirements.
• The initiative to creating, controlling and improve the production pipeline.
• Actively promote and communicate sound solutions to technical and design issues related to animation.
• Able to rig and animate characters fluidly.
• Strong understanding of the principles of animation; the physics of motion, and a wide breadth of stylistic versatility.
• Acting, human and animal movement, figure drawing, and character rigging preferred.
• A deep understanding of the principles of 3D character set-up.
• Must be receptive to animation direction and perform well within a collaborative team environment.
• Must be responsive to deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Drawing ability required.
• Prior familiarity to Blender 3D animation software is a plus.

3D MODELLER – WITH SPECIALTY IN LIGHTING

STUDIO MANAGER

An all rounded manager with good inter-personal skills that can handle day to day operations and assist with budgeting and costing of projects/jobs and work out marketing plans with principals of the company. Also deal with general human resource matters. Report directly to managing director. Experience working with communications, media or creative services companies a plus.

Requirement: Daily operations of studio, some human resource management, oversee jobs tracking and deadlines. Good communication and letter writing skills,
• Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of self-direction.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be receptive to direction and perform well within a collaborative team environment.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

ASISSTANT/LINE PRODUCER

Main responsibility is to track all in-house projects/jobs, with responsibility in sourcing for and dealing with third party suppliers, vendors and materials (related to film and production). Must be highly organised and resourceful. Ability to schedule jobs and manage deadlines and milestones. Understanding of video/film, creative multimedia production pipeline necessary.

• Knowledge of spreadsheet and project management software (such as GANTT project or Microsoft project a plus)
• Must work well under pressure.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

EDITOR

Required to handle all manner of editing work, ranging from assembling finished visual effects shots to an entire live action video to animation sequences. Versatility is the key requirement.

• Knowledge in Adobe Premier and/or Final Cut Pro essential.
• Some knowledge in after effects a plus.
• Must be able to work independently and quickly without sacrificing creative quality.

BOOKEEPER

Required to maintain daily accounts of the company. Must have basic bookkeeping skills.

• Knowledge of MYOB (Mind Your Own Business) software a plus.
• Will need to train if no knowledge in MYOB.
• Will consider both part time or full time candidates.
